On his way to a triumphant win at the 2024 NHRA Midwest Nationals, Funny Car racer Jack Beckman stood at the top end of World Wide Technology Raceway and spoke with FOX Sports reporter Amanda Busick to explain what separates good racers from great ones: mental toughness.

"Racing is a mental sport, it's not a physical sport," said Beckman, "and that's where you take a deep breath and say, 'Just go do your job.' "

Beckman’s poise under pressure was one of the reasons John Force Racing chose him to carry on the legacy of the legendary John Force. With a top-tier Camaro Funny Car, an outstanding team behind him, and the expectations of the motorsports world riding with him, Beckman has embraced the challenge. Fans watching the interview will witness Beckman’s unwavering calmness and mental fortitude, seeing exactly why he's the one who takes Force's Funny Car to No. 2 in the standings.
